Culinary Open Floor Plan  New Entry Repositioning Award Recipient

This community began in an old stone mansion and a small, attached building. In the mid-1990’s LRAI provided WEL with a masterplan study which when fully realized yielded independent living and personal care units (assisted living) in 145 apartments and 38 cottages. Twenty-five years later, the Main Building entrance received a renovation with an open plan, more efficient space, and a hospitality feel. The administrative suite was relocated allowing access to an existing underutilized courtyard, space for a Bistro, and gathering spaces. Additional renovations included consolidating spaces into a multi-purpose room, upgrading the main dining room, relocation of several program spaces, and a finishes refresh to corridors.
